How to choose the right project management course...
If you have not had prior project management training our 3-day Project Management Essentials: Part 1 is the place to start - even if you have been managing projects for many years. This is our flagship course and is the recommended prerequisite to all of our other courses. Even seasoned PMPs who take this course say that it helps them gain a “real world” understanding of how the tools and techniques of project management all work together to help bring about project success.
If you are a project team member or a project manager involved only in small projects, our 3-day Project Management Essentials: Part 1 workshop may be all the project management training you ever need.
If you are involved in mid to large projects, we would also recommend you take Project Management Essentials: Parts 2 and Project Management Essentials: Part 3. These two courses will expose you to some of the more advanced project management tools found within the PMBOK, as well give you the necessary tools to work with and manage a larger group of project team members and project stakeholders.
For those with a need to learn specific tools (like how to properly use Microsoft Project) we also recommend taking the appropriate advanced level project management training courses. Although advanced, once you have taken the fundamentals, these courses may be taken in any order and will provide you with the tools and knowledge to tackle projects of all sizes with confidence and success. In the process of taking these advanced courses you will also be able to earn one of three University Level Project Management Certificates:
