Paul Bergman, PMP
Experience: Paul has over 25 years experience as a project manager. He has managed projects of all sizes and across industries including manufacturing, environment, telecommunications, IT, and government. Paul is the author of a number of the industry’s leading project management courses, many offered over the years in association with 15 universities and colleges across Canada.
Strengths: Paul’s experience and teaching style has proven particularly useful in helping participants move from project management theory to the real world application of project management, in a way that makes sense for their environment. In addition to being President of WCP, Paul provides project management training and consulting services, is the author of some of the most popular project management training courses in Canada, often speaks at project management conferences, and is a Microsoft Project expert. Many of the courses Paul has developed over the years such as Project Management Essentials, Juggling Multiple Projects, and Hands-on Microsoft Project are held up as the template by which competitor courses of similar scope are modeled.
Education: Paul graduated with an engineering degree from the University of Toronto, and has been a Project Management Professional (PMP)® since 1992.

Experience: Michael has over 25 years of “hands on” project management experience which includes being the Project Manager of a $68 million retrofit of the SunLife building in Montreal, and being the Project Controls Manager on the $100 million Billiton tungsten ore refining plant and on the definition phase of a liquefied natural gas peak shaving plant for Consumer Gas. Since 1996, Michael has been consulting and training in project management. Michael has extensive international experience, and has been delivering WCP project management courses for over 10 years.
Strengths: Michael’s extensive hands-on experience with large complex projects, together with his international experience (he has practiced project management in both English and French), make him a highly sought after consultant and facilitator of project teams particularly during the definition phase of projects. Michael’s project management seminars are peppered with stories of his real life experiences thereby bringing the theory of project management to life.
Education: Michael has a degree in Engineering, a Masters of Business Administration, and has been a Project Management Professional (PMP)® since 1995.
Carl Sergeant, PMP
Senior Partner and Senior Consultant
Experience: Carl Sergeant, PMP, brings an entrepreneurial, results-based focus to his consulting and presenting practice based on more than three decades of project, program and portfolio management experience.
Based on extensive experience in the telecommunications industry, Carl shares learning and development insights that help create leaders at all organizational levels. As a senior project executive, he has managed project portfolios at the $1.5 billion level delivering in excess of $500 million per year. In less than 18 months he has built cross-functional PMOs on this scale while closing capability gaps through methodology development, individual learning and coaching and career path charting – all with an eye toward demonstrating return on investment to executive management.
His success in building individual and team capabilities has led him to focus on an approach that combines the power of people with intuitive project communications. An approachable mentor and an in demand public speaker, he has spoken at many project management events, including Project World/ Business Analyst World, PMI Canada’s Technology Triangle Chapter and the PMI Lakeshore Chapter Symposium. He has also written for PM Network.
Carl is a veteran of Canada’s active telecommunications and technology industries, has held a number of leadership positions with Bell Canada, Bell Connexim and Ericsson Canada, and is an active member of the PMI Southern Ontario and PMI Lakeshore chapters.
Strengths: An internationally respected thought leader in the field, Carl has been recognized as one of the fifty most powerful and influential project management professionals in the world by the Project Management Institute’s (PMI)®, PM Network Magazine.
Education: Carl holds Leadership Certification from Queens University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada, and has been a Project Management Professional (PMP)® since 1997.
Kristine Hatfield, PMP, PMI-ACP
Experience: Kristine has over 16 years of experience in Project Management, managing complex projects and programs of significant size and managing portfolios in excess of $250 million. Kristine has successfully established company-wide Project Management practices throughout her career and has a great deal of experience in implementing and leading PMO’s, business analysis, strategic planning, and developing Project Managers. Kristine has spent her professional career in the telecommunications industry and IT.
Strengths: Kristine brings a very practical “real world” approach to applying project management principles based on extensive experience in managing large complex cross-functional projects. In her senior management roles, Kristine has developed strong people skills, leadership capabilities and understands the importance of building high performing collaborative teams across organizations. Kristine takes a very “people focused” approach in applying project management to deliver successful projects, programs and portfolios.
Education: Kristine graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Master’s Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University. Kristine has attended Queen’s University Executive Development programs focusing on Strategic Planning and Operational Leadership. Kristine has her PMI-ACP® designation, and has been a Project Management Professional (PMP)® since 2005.
Experience: Kiron has almost 20 years of experience in traditional and agile project management, having managed multiple mid-to-large-sized projects. He has setup and managed Project Management Offices (PMO) and has provided project portfolio management and project management consulting services to over a hundred clients across multiple industries.
Kiron is an active member of the Project Management Institute (PMI)® since 1999, served as a volunteer director on the Board of the PMI Lakeshore Chapter for six years and served for three years as a volunteer community moderator for PMI’s Project, Program and Portfolio Management LinkedIn discussion group.
Kiron has published articles on project and project portfolio management in both project management and industry-specific journals. He has delivered over a hundred webinars and has presented at multiple conferences. Kiron has been blogging weekly about project management since 2009. His blog has been frequently recognized in top fifty project management blog rankings.
Strengths: Having helped to improve project delivery capabilities for companies spanning multiple industries and sizes, Kiron brings a pragmatic value-focused approach to methodology and governance. He is a highly energetic, articulate and enthusiastic facilitator having trained hundreds of professionals over the past decade on a variety of project management topics.
Education: Kiron holds a Bachelor of Computer Science (Honors) from Concordia University, an MBA from McGill University and a Master’s Certificate in Information Technology Project Management from George Washington University. Kiron has been a Project Management Professional (PMP)® since 2000, contributed to the first version of PMI’s Risk Management standard and received his PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP)® certification in 2011. Kiron also holds the following agile project management credentials: Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)® from the Project Management Institute (PMI)®, and the Certified Disciplined Agile Practitioner (CDAP) and Certified Discipline Agile Instructor (CDAI) credentials from the Disciplined Agile Consortium.
Tim Rudkins, PMP
Experience: Tim has managed projects for 30 years on five different continents ranging from small business start-ups to multinational ERP implementations with Fortune 500 companies. He has worked across all industries with particular expertise in logistics, non-profit, pharmaceutics, government, retail and health care. Tim has owned and managed his own project management consulting practice as well as starting and running an international project management implementation firm based out of The Netherlands. Tim’s teaching/training experience has included hundreds of in-house programs for various companies, universities and institutions in Europe, and many of Canada’s colleges and universities. In 2010, Tim was awarded the University of Toronto’s Excellence in Teaching Award for his popular PMP® training program.
Strengths: Tim’s real world experience is complemented by a teaching style which allows him to put theory into practice. Not a fan of paperwork and bureaucracy, Tim recommends and explains tools that save companies and individuals time and money while ensuring that the project is delivered as promised. A particular strength is in program management, where his experience in managing multi-project teams spread across various countries has proven invaluable to many companies. Tim has been a key player in the creation and implementation of project management methodologies for a number of Canadian companies, organizations and governments including the Government of Ontario.
Education: Tim graduated with a B.A. (Honours) from the University of Waterloo and did his M.B.A. at the Ivey School of Business at Western University. Tim did post-graduate work in Financial Economics at London University in the U.K. and is also certified in Green Building Management (LEED AP) with the Canada Green Building Council. Tim has been a PMP since the late 90’s.
Karen Dove, PMP
Experience: Karen comes to World Class Productivity with over 13 years experience as a senior manager and project manager in the federal public service managing complex projects, programs and multi-million dollar portfolios in internal services implementing strategic frameworks and organizational change; economic and community development projects; and projects in direct service delivery. Karen is also an Associate Faculty Member of the Canada School of Public Service and has been instructing Introductory Project Management courses to federal public servants since 2012 in the British Columbia and Yukon regions. A northerner at heart, she has lived and worked North of 60 for the last 14 years. Karen also has extensive experience working with First Nations communities.
Strengths: With Karen`s experience managing projects and program in the public service, Karen brings a unique perspective to her project management courses to make them relevant for a public service environment. Karen is a strong communicator and people oriented leader which she uses to make her courses accessible and engaging for participants.
Education: Karen graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies and a Master of Arts in Law and Criminology. She has a Graduate Certificate in Project Management from Royal Roads University. Karen has been a Project Management Professional (PMP)® since 2012.
Rina De Donato, PMP
Client Relations Manager
Experience: Rina is a Project Management Professional (PMP) who joined World Class Productivity in 2015 with over 10 years of experience as an Executive Director from Girls on the Run Ontario (GOTR). GOTR provides after school character development programs that empower young girls to build confidence and achieve their personal goals. Through Rina’s leadership, strategic vision and belief in collaboration and partnerships GOTR grew from one location in York Region to servicing girls across the province of Ontario and British Columbia. Prior to her work with GOTR, Rina held a number of other key positions in both the public and private sector organizations, managing projects, directing comprehensive business and strategic plans, and leading diverse teams.
Strengths: Rina is a strategic thinker and entrepreneur, with the ability to establish and maintain long-standing partnerships as is evident with the success of the non-profit organization that Rina not only founded, but also grew to enrolling over 22,000 girls within 120 schools and managing 400 volunteers annually.
Education: Rina has completed courses in Business Administration from Ryerson, and from Humber College has obtained both a Project Management certificate and Ontario Management Development Program (OMDP) certificate. Rina has been a Project Management Professional (PMP)® since 2015.
